Many years ago, The Ties Program implemented “Project Kindness” via our sister organization World Ties, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that supports children and families in Ties’ countries. So that our efforts are focused, we try to find a place, or a group of children, and build a relationship that enhances the lives of the community we touch.
Nearly every China Ties family visits their child’s Social Welfare Institute in China and frequently meet their caregivers and foster families.. As often as possible, we send World Ties funds with families to be supportive of the orphanages that so lovingly cared for the children and continue to care for children who have not found forever homes. Return visits are both healing and bittersweet.
Project Kindness also provides fellowship and funding to Shepherd’s Field, a project of the Philip Hayden Foundation.
